Shawn Mendes promises “Something Big” is coming this holiday when he joins forces with Becky G to rock the red kettle.
On December 6, 2014 the “Can’t Stop Dancing” singer and Vine celeb-turned-pop star will take the stage with other up and coming stars of young Hollywood to raise awareness for The Salvation Army at the Rock the Red Kettle concert. Other performers include Bea Miller, R5, Josh Levi, and Exist Elsewhere.
Keep up with Twitter to find out why these stars support The Salvation Army with personal #RedKettleReasons. They’re encouraging fans to post their own reasons why it’s important to support charities like The Salvation Army with the hashtag #RedKettleReason. Both artists claim they’ll repost their favorite tweets and follow some of the fans who get involved.
“I’ve been really inspired by the work The Salvation Army does to help kids who need a safe place to sleep, a meal, a place to hang out after school and even Christmas presents,” said Shawn Mendes. “I hope my fans will help me give back this season and make sure every child has a safe and happy holiday season.”
“My family struggled to make ends meet when I was a kid, and we were helped by The Salvation Army,” said Becky G. “I want my fans to understand that by donating to The Salvation Army, they are helping families and children get back on their feet, and I am honored to be performing on their behalf and bringing awareness to such an important cause.”
The concert will be streamed live on RedKettleReason.org so that fans nationwide can join the action.
