With “The Gathering” happening next week, we decided to go with our usual theme of “Love” this week instead of next. Here is a quick recap of tonight’s lesson. This is by no means all, but should give a good overview for reference.

The Bible has a lot to say about love. Tonight we’ll talk about two…
First: The Song of Solomon is a love poem describing the kind of relationship that belongs in marriage:
We are going to look at a few of the verses from Solomon
1:2 Enjoy each others kisses, 1:15 like to look at each other, 2:3 Like to be together, 2:4 want others to know they are in love, 3:1-4 miss each other when apart, 3:5 don’t want to push or hurry the growth of love, 4:1 find each other beautiful, 4:9 looking at each other brings close feelings, 6:9 see each other as unique, 7:10 are devoted to each other, 8:6 realize the danger of jealousy, 8:14 like to go places together.

1 Corinthians 13:4-13

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes,what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. So, after viewing that video…would you say love is an action or a feeling?
Love is more a choice than something you wait for. It is an action more than a feeling because actions show your feelings and help feelings grow.
Memorize the following definition of love:
“love is deciding to seek the well-being of someone as God would define well-being and then doing it.”
It’s actually quite simple. Anyone can choose to do it.
We went over 1 Corinthians 13 again with examples of each description of what love is and what love isn’t based on the scripture.

no i would not defend my guns with my life. As much as i love my guns, they are not worth losing my life over as well as maybe taking a few poor law enforcement officers with me that were simply following orders. I would rather hope that this costnitutional breach does not lead to tyranny and put trust in the people in government (ya, i know most of them aren’t worthy of it) to not do anything too stupid. I would defend the second amendment with all other means up to that point.Maybe i’m wrong though. convince me otherwise?
